Before you can start an appointment, the P* has to be removed.
In axiUm, it will change from P* to P on the procedure line. You can send in "Student Sign Up" with the following example:
"Patient chart number ______; Last name, first name. Please remove P* for procedure _______. Patient has denti-cal/insurance/CARE/cash."
If your patient wants to speak with the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC), then there are several ways this can happen.
1. The student dentist can sign the patient up on the "Patient Sign Up" list and go in with the patient when the name is called.
2. The patient can ask the Front Desk Receptionists to place them on the "Patient Sign Up" list and speak to PCCs alone.
3. Patients can call the PCCs directly with questions/concerns
