Finalize treatment plan(s) and proper sequence for delivery of care
Sequencing is based upon what you will do at each patient appointment
Be sure that the patient understands the financial and time costs of all elements of the plan(s), and is going to be able to pay for the chosen treatment plan.
Enter Final Treatment Plan
Sequence the Treatment Plan
Have the supervising Generalist faculty approve the plan
Have your patient sign to indicate their acceptance of the plan
Review all costs with patient one more time prior to going to the Patient Care Coordinator’s (PCC’s) for financial approval.
Faculty need to review and approve:
Sequenced treatment plan
Complete ODTP exam under “In Progress” tab
Approve Treatment History
Financial approval from PCC's
Sign up on axiUm. If the patient is paying with cash or credit card, certain procedures are automatically approved and can be paid at the cashier’s window.
Finish any possible Consent Forms for Oral Surgery, Implants, etc.
Any procedure that requires an Informed Consent will be flagged with a symbol after a treatment plan is faculty approved and patient accepted. After treatment planning, look at either the In Progress or Tx History tab.
If the planned treatment needs a consent, it will have this symbol next to it:
Click the “OK” button and complete the consent. When the patient has signed the consent, the consent icon will no longer appear next to it.
